Experts introduce campers to the growing sports of trap, skeet, sporting clays, archery and bow hunting. Campers will learn shotgun safety, etiquette and proper technique for shooting clay targets. Ear and eye protection will be provided. For best fit, campers should bring their own sunglasses. Campers will spend three days learning the basics of archery from certified USA Archery coaches. They will take the ATA “Explore Bowhunting” course where they will learn how to track game, use camouflage, shoot from a tree stand, lure in your target, set game lanes and place shots. This introduction covers the mechanics of the traditional and compound bows, 3-D shooting, Olympic archery and competition shooting. This camp ends with an archery competition with prizes to test campers’ skills. All equipment is provided. Campers should bring water and a snack daily. Academy of Art provides instructional art curriculum which utilizes hands-on, classical-teaching techniques, art history and culture, and incorporates art terms while fostering self-expression. Ciao! Made In Italy is teaching a cooking class for kids! We invite you into our kitchen to learn the basics to some Italian kid-friendly food. You will learn how to make pizza, pasta and Italian desserts.

Campers will have a great time learning and exploring the field of marine conservation and science. From kayaking and dip netting critters, to identifying marine species in Lemon Bay, campers will learn how researchers and scientists care for our local watersheds and the types of animals that inhabit them. We’ll learn a lot but play a lot, too, with fun daily activities that show the importance and sensitivity of the Gulf of Mexico and area waterways.

From destruction comes new life! Come smash and rebuild colorfully creative mosaic pieces from multiple media types when we explore the wonderful world of mosaic art. All supplies and tools are included for projects campers take home. All new projects this summer!

Come shred Sarasota’s Payne Park this summer with the Compound Skate Team! Go from dropping in and work your way up to the more advanced stuff, like board slides, grinds and airs. This camp is great for everyone, from the newest of beginners to the most advanced skaters. There’s a teacher perfect for every skill level. Take your skating to a whole new level this summer. Suitable for all skill levels, this camp consists of surf, skim and stand-up paddle instruction, demonstration and practice, mixed with beach activities and plenty of summertime fun. Our instructors will work with you in small groups, divided up by experience level, to give you 5 days of dedicated surf, skim, and stand-up paddle board immersion to get you riding waves like never before. We strive to have our campers gain confidence, build lifelong skills, and create lasting friendships.

Check-in/drop-off procedures

We will meet each morning at 8am for check-in at designated beach pavilions. Each camper will be welcomed by one of our qualified instructors followed by an introduction to our entire camp staff. Campers are only permitted to be checked in/checked out by an authorized individual that has registered with Sarasota County.

Join Suncoast Basketball Club's experienced coaches and players for basketball skill-building on the court during school breaks. This coed camp focuses on fundamentals and progressive skill-building for youth players of all skill levels. Participants will learn like skills and messages that will help instill confidence, discipline and respect.

Learn how to make your first video game in this coding class for kids, VR, and video game time. Includes 30 minute lunch -- please pack or pizza available for $5.

Join Impara SRQ at the Venice Community Center for a week of piano and percussion camp. Students in grades 4-5 will enjoy learning about piano and percussion. Each day will include learning to play the piano, percussion and an art activity or music game.
